Federal Skilled Worker Program

Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) is a Canadian immigration program for skilled workers who want to immigrate to Canada permanently. The program is based on a points system that assesses your skills, education, work experience, and language ability.
Who is eligible for the FSWP?
To be eligible for the FSWP, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have at least one year of continuous skilled work experience in the past 10 years.
- Have a valid job offer from a Canadian employer (optional).
- Meet the minimum language requirements in English or French.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have enough money to support yourself and your family when you arrive in Canada.
- Meet the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
How does the FSWP work?
The FSWP uses the Express Entry system to manage applications. To apply for the FSWP, you must first create an Express Entry profile. Your profile will be assigned a CRS score based on your skills, education, work experience, and language ability.
If you have a high enough CRS score, you will be invited to apply for permanent residence. Once you receive an invitation, you have 60 days to submit your application.
